(ABCD) Toy Drive at a holiday party for Jamaica Plain Head Start

of the red-hot Boston Celtics recently stopped in for a recent visit at
Children’s Hospital Boston to bring smiles to patients and their
families. New superstars Ray Allen (left) and Kevin Garnett were joined

went room to room, giving out autographed shirts, taking pictures and

| MBTA
representatives, local elected officials and teen artists from the
nonprofit Hyde Square Task Force gathered earlier this month to
announce the completion of a four-year community art project at the
Jackson Square MBTA station. Over the past four summers, Jamaica Plain
and Roxbury youth have worked with internationally renowned muralist
Roberto Chao to create the works, displayed on the walls at Jackson

Teesdale (pointing), a seventh-grader at Irving Middle School in
Roslindale, explains an architectural design she created with her
classmates to former Gov. Michael Dukakis at Northeastern University’s
Curry Student Center last Wednesday. Teesdale’s team won “Orange Line
Design,” an architecture and public space ideas competition that asked
over 130 middle schoolers to work with architecture firms to
re-envision an MBTA Orange Line station. The victors will have a
