The New Mission High School boys basketball team celebrate the school’s first ever Division 4 state title on Monday, March 8 the TD Banknorth Garden.  The Titans, coached by Cory McCarthy defeated Cathedral High75-47 and end at 23-1.

The Delta Sigma Alumni sorority met last month with City Councilor Felix Arroyo at Mother Caroline Academy as part of the Delta Sigma Barber and Beauty Shop “Get Out The Census” Tour. In honor of Black History Month, Gov. Deval  Patrick launched a campaign on Touch-FM to introduce high ranking African Americans working in his administration. The month was capped off last week as Gov. Patrick and first lady Diane appeared in the radio station’s studio for a wide-ranging interview. Among those interviewed during the month were Patrick’s chief of staff Arthur Bernard; Mark Conrad, chairman of the state parole Board: and Dr. Susan Windham-Bannister, Director of the Mass.
