Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler is teaming up with Red Sox player David Ortiz to support the “Ride for Our Heroes” on Sept. 24, which honors the nation’s service members, veterans and their families. Funds raised through the motorcycle ride will go to the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program and provide clinical care and other services to veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Students from Tokyo University of Social Welfare visited the Boston Renaissance Charter Public School (BRC) in Hyde Park last week. More than 40 students majoring in education toured the school and worked with Renaissance summer program students on an origami project.
