The East Boston High School boys basketball team celebrates its city league championship on Friday, Feb. 24 after defeating Madison Park 60-59 in a spectacular overtime game.  East Boston ends the regular season at 18-4.  Madison Park ends at 16-3.  Both teams are contending this week in the first round of the state tournament. Rock & roll legend and music pioneer, Chuck Berry (R), was presented the PENN New England Inaugural Song Lyrics of Literary Excellence Award by noted musician, Paul Simon (L), at ceremonies held at the Kennedy Library in Boston last Sunday.
