Through Barbed Wire presents A 4th Friday Event

Monthly Reading of Prisoners' Writings; featured guest: MAURICE ALVES, Veterans Employment Specialist for Project Place, a work force development program that focuses on reentry and homelessness, speaking about reentry. Wheelchair accessible, near MBTA train and Bus Lines, Commuter Rail, and Amtrak Light refreshments will be offered, and you may also contribute to the table. Through Barbed Wire was created by Arnie King to (re)establish and maintain ties to our neighborhoods and to offer and provide genuine service to society. Due to the heavy chains around our hands and feet, as well as CORI and other “stigmas”, such efforts face severe restrictions. These obstacles can be lessened, and eventually eliminated, with virtues of honesty, open-mindedness and willingness flowing through barbed wire into the community. Free; donations graciously accepted

Where: Community Church of Boston (Copley Sq), 565 Boylston St, 2nd flr. (above Globe Cafe), Boston
