Heritage Tour 2013-Screening of film, Kunta Kinteh Island:Coming Home without Shackles
In the great city of Boston, as part of the national 14-city HERITAGE TOUR, e.ross studios will premier the screening of the epic documentary Kunta Kinteh Island: Coming Home Without Shackles on March 6-7, 2013. This film features the legendary Ben Vereen in celebration of the 36th Anniversary of the historic ABC TV series ROOTS, and also honors the monumental renaming of the former Ft. James Island to Kunta Kinteh Island (Gambia, West Africa). This effort is in partnership with Tyler Perry, the Emmys, the AMC Theaters, ASCAP, AfricanAncestry.com, the National Urban League, and ApogeeVisioin. While in Boston, we have special screenings that include an educational symposium scheduled at Northeastern University,Blackman auditorium (March 6, begins at 3pm), and a community screening at Morning Star Baptist Church (March 6, begins at 7pm).
