Juliette Mayers
Juliette
Mayers was recently named executive director of multicultural marketing
for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA). As one of the
early pioneers in multicultural marketing, Mayers brings a wealth of
experience to the post, where she is responsible for developing and
shaping the corporation’s business-to-business and business-to-consumer
strategies.
Mayers, a seasoned executive with
experience in strategic planning, marketing, finance and diversity
leadership, has been at BCBSMA for seven years. Prior to joining the
health care corporation, Mayers’ career spanned more than 20 years with
leading organizations such as GE Capital, Bank of Boston and The Ad
Club Foundation before coming to BCBSMA. Before entering her current
position, she served as director of sales planning and performance at
Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she led strategy, planning,
communications, sales technology, budgeting and expense management
functions.
Mayers has received several leadership and community awards, and was
recently was recognized as a “Visionary Woman of Excellence” by Unity
First magazine. She serves as vice chair of the board of the
anti-poverty agency Action for Boston’s Community Development (ABCD)
and works with a host of other civic and community groups, including
The United Way, One Thousand Women for Mentoring, the Norwell Women’s
Club, the Newton chapter of Jack & Jill of America, The Boston Club
and the Middlesex chapter of The Links.
Mayers holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University, where
she majored in marketing, and an M.B.A. from Simmons Graduate School of
Management. She resides in Norwell with her husband Darryl and two
daughters, D’Anna and Danielle.
