Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts recently honored Cambridge’s Callie Crossley with five other women at the group’s 20th annual Leading Women Awards dinner.
Host of “The Callie Crossley Show,” WGBH-FM, 89.7. Crossley is a panelist on WGBH-TV’s “Beat the Press,” a regular contributor to “The Takeaway” and a featured contributor for Fox25 TV’s “Morning News Show.” She regularly moderates the TV program “Basic Black” also on WGBH-TV, and appears occasionally on “CNN’s Reliable Sources” and “The PBS News Hour.”
Prior to her current work, Crossley was a producer for ABC News 20/20. She also produced “Eyes on the Prize: America’s Civil Rights Years 1954-1965” and “Bridge to Freedom” which focused on the Selma, Ala. voting rights campaign.
The Girl Scouts also honored Joanne Chang, restaurateur, Flour Bakery and Myers + Chang; Jennifer Tour Chayes, distinguished scientist and managing director, Microsoft Research New England; Stacey Lucchino, chairman of the Advisory Board Program in Education, Afterschool & Resiliency at McLean Hospital, Harvard; Helen Sayles, senior vice president, Human Resources and Administration, Liberty Mutual Group; and Maria Tedesco, group executive vice president, Business Banking at Citizens Financial Group.

Congratulations Callie! Callie is so deserving of this and other like recognitions for being such an intellectual and personable voice in Boston Media. Her insight and indepth knowledge of a wide range of issues is refreshing to experience, and I love the fact that she informs and challenges the status quo with great wit utilizing a broad range of mediums.
