The Theater Offensive: OUT in Your Neighborhood seeks an extremely well organized,

self-motivated achiever who is passionate about queer culture in communities of color.

Help the Executive Artistic Director stay on top of a workload that is weighty, complex

and in constantly motion.

Competitive candidates will have superb communication skills, including superior

writing in both business and creative modes; topnotch proficiency with tech and social

media; great love for demanding work; indomitably positive attitude; extraordinary

follow-through; and a fearless capacity to “manage up” to their supervisor. Experience

working in LGBT communities of color is a requirement.

Tasks include constant communication in many media, data management, scheduling,

intern supervision, artist relations, cold calling, processing submissions and inquiries,

budgeting, general office administration, event planning, asking for favors, writing for

business and grassroots community connection, and principled networking with a broad

range of potential constituents from major donors to the person on the street.

This ½ time position may be a good fit for someone with experience elsewhere who

wants to break into this field.
