Possession of even a small amount of marijuana is a crime, but that doesn't discourage many Massachusetts citizens from pocketing a little toke for later. The consequences of being apprehended and convicted of an illegal drug offense are unreasonably severe. More »

Presidential debates: Good theater, but not much more

To some, Republican presidential nominee John McCain was a noble citizen for citing the urgency of the financial implosion as the reason for trying to delay the first debate with Democratic rival Barack Obama. I don't think that the state income tax should be abolished ... I believe that our state tax should be to make the state greener, to provide books and materials for the school system, etc. Without it, what happens to our children? More »
