artist Paul Goodnight (left) was recently selected by the charitable
foundation of tennis legend Andre Agassi (right) to create an original
masterpiece for the 12th Annual Grand Slam for Children event, held
last month. Goodnight’s painting, “What the Heart Hears,” depicts the
story of a father and a child and was sold at the event’s live auction

| Ninth-graders
Shaquana Mathis (white jacket) of Dorchester and Karie Everrett (tan
jacket) of Roxbury demonstrate an experiment for guests at the grand
opening of the new science lab at Fenway High School. Fenway recently
opened an updated science laboratory thanks to resources provided by
the pharmaceutical company Pfizer’s Research Technology Center (RTC),
after RTC scientists and staff were asked to judge a 2004 science fair.
