Members of Greater Grove Hall Main Streets chipped in to brighten their neighborhood this coming spring by planting daffodil bulbs provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s “Boston Blooms!” beautification program. Volunteers throughout the city gathered on the last two weekends in October to plant 40,000 bulbs, augmenting the Parks Department’s annual planting of 81,000 daffodil and tulip bulbs.
