What do you think should be done to solve the MBTA’s fiscal problems?

They should freeze the wages of the employees, starting from the top down. They should save money for the rest of us who use their services. There are too many taxes on poor people already.

They need to reduce benefits and salaries of the people who are working there. They’re providing a public service. Whatever their difficulties are, you have to cut from one side or another — salaries or services.

The state shouldn’t have stopped funding the MBTA. The state cut taxes and cut funding for the MBTA and now the cuts are affecting us. We end up paying more for our fare.
