The media has its [kid] gloves on when it comes to the treatment of Barack Obama. Obama’s quest for the presidency has forced America to confront several serious, controversial issues. The media tends to gloss over the nuances of these hard-to-confront issues. The public would benefit from a more open and engaging discussion on the issues. |

The media’s generally going to tell a story that the population wants to hear. During the campaign, it was marketable to portray Obama in a positive light. Now, the population is not apt to hear such a positive story, thus media organizations have taken a more moderate-to-negative stance. goes here. |

At times I don’t feel the president has been addressed with the respect he deserves… on [NBC’s] “Today” show, an intelligent woman like [anchor] Ann [Curry] referred to President Obama as just “Mr. Obama.” Former presidents were referred to as “president” and not “Mr.” Can you explain to me: Why is that? |

I believe the media coverage on all stations except Fox is very fair. It’s quite obvious that Fox News has its own agenda, and it’s not aligned with President Obama. I would give Fox News an F. |

I think they are doing what they do. They will hold him [to] a much stricter standard than what they have done with past presidents. |

Although it is still early to tell, I believe that the media coverage of President Barack Obama is fair. |
