What was your reaction when you heard that the companies receiving bailout money handed their top employees multimillion-dollar bonuses?
|I don’t spend too much of my energy on those things anymore because the game is being played on all levels and it has been going on for years. The media coverage on issues such as this is just another distraction. My focus is young people and how I can be a better example for them.

|I was horrified when I heard about the executives who received the bonuses. When the average citizen does a bad job, they are fired, not rewarded. … I used to temp at AIG years ago — they were never hurting for money. Where is the bailout money for people whose homes are being foreclosed on?

|I figured Congress dropped the ball. But they have bigger fish to fry. It’s the cost of taking their eye off the ball. In the larger scheme of things, it doesn’t matter.
|Initially, I was in shock, but afterwards I knew that President Obama would do the right thing for those really affected by the recession.
|That was a problem for me. It was outrageous. We are paying tax dollars for them, but we’re not getting bailed out!
|I’m struggling and they’re getting the big bucks, especially when our tax money’s paying for it.
