Roving Camera

Why do you believe it's been difficult to pass
national health care reform legislation?

The Republicans do not want to see the government in authority over the business of health care insurance because that would take away from the private industry’s profit. Health care reform would profit the poor and not the rich. And that’s the antithesis of society’s historical structure.

In this state we have a health care bill. As far as the United States’ universal health care — they don’t trust President Obama’s decisions on how to control health care cost. Too much pork in the package.

The American system is not about providing health care for your neighbor; it’s about profit. Health care reform would force the medical profession to provide for the quality of care across the board.

A beast out of control. The health care industry is such a money-maker. They don’t want to give up a red cent for the benefit of the masses.

Because the health care industry will be losing money. If people are not paying for their own health care, the health care industry can’t profit.

The insidious politics of mean-spiritness and economic greed are holding health care reform hostage.
