I agree with the raise as they went before an arbitrator and he awarded the money. That should have been the end of it. But what’s not negotiable is: if you’re in the business of saving lives you shouldn’t have a problem submitting to drug testing. |

When you do the math across the board — when they haven’t had a raise in five years — of course it is. It’s like a cost of living raise and when coupled with the fact that their lives are on the line, it’s fair. |

I don’t think they got a good deal. They risk their lives for the state, thus they should be in line with state compensations, e.g. MBTA, State Police, etc. |
