I think there’s always a reason to celebrate, and if you can’t celebrate where we’re at, we should celebrate what we’re working toward. |

True patriotism for our country. I’m as American as apple pie and all about the red, white and blue! |

It doesn’t mean that much to me because I don’t think America’s really independent. Independence Day gives us the feeling of independence but in reality Americans are not truly independent. |

It doesn’t mean the end of the struggle for me. It means that we made milestones along the way, yet we must continue to move forward as there’s much progress to accomplish. |

It means more than just the independence of a country. It’s more about the celebration of the whole individual: body, mind, spirit. |

The 4th of July is the white man Independence Day from England. We were slaves, and really, still are. Now, our (The Black man and Woman) Independence Day was declared on the 4th, but, in the year 1930, by Master Fard Muhammad, to claim our Independence from our 400 year old enemy! So, to me, this should be a time of Separation, not Celebration since we have not got along with him for more than 400 years!!!
Thank you, Peace |
