On the one hand, to reduce the tax will keep buyers in Massachusetts, but if we keep the tax the same we can continue to fund Massachusetts projects and services. |

I don’t think the liquor tax should be lowered. The reason is: There are more than enough liquor stores in our community and that revenue can be best used for projects that combat substance abuse. |

In general revenues in our communities have been down for some time, so we need to maintain the current liquor tax but apply more revenue to substance abuse programs. |

Whatever they need to do to keep the money in Massachusetts, that is: Don’t let another state benefit off the tax being too high here. |

No, you’ve got to pay to play. Alcohol is not a necessity in one’s daily life; therefore, keep the tax as it is. |

I don’t think they should repeal the higher tax because they’ll be looking to take the funds from somewhere else like school lunch. |

The liquor tax law should be repealed. Just because it's not a necessity doesn’t justify the double tax. How long are you going to make excuses for Beacon Hill to continue to take your money then make excuses that they are broke yet complain that you are in taxachusetts. They need to be fiscally responsible not look for ways to continue to penalize the working individual. |

School lunch should be free anyway. My children have to pay for school lunch because of my income but yet the food is given away for free in the summer. Doesn't make any sense. Also there is a program for EBT cardholders can get $20 worth of fresh fruits and veggies for $10 as long as you use your EBT. Well what about the folks that work? It's just as hard for us to afford food as well. This state is backwards. As long as we keep giving to those that don't want to help themselves, we'll never have either. You shouldn't get offended if you aren't one of those that don't even try to help yourself. |
