In light of the 43rd anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., how do you believe Dr. King would assess the progress of racial and civil rights equality in the United States?

I think Martin Luther King Jr. would say that we are [currently] in a standstill, due to the racial inequality that still exists even though it’s couched in different terms.

I think Dr. King would say all young African Americans should be made to visit the Civil Rights Museum in Memphis to give them better insight to why we have the freedoms we have today.

He would be disappointed. Looking at the legacy he left and now the legacy our young folks are leaving, he would be disappointed because of the negative outcomes that have plagued our young people.
