Marion (Lee) Eastman died on Feb. 3, 2010 in San Bernardino, Calif. after a long illness. She was 87.
Marion was born in Brockton, Mass to the late Lucy B. (Thomas) Lee and Robert B. Lee. She was raised in Stoughton, Mass. and lived briefly in New York, but spent most of her life in Boston. After retiring from Boston City Hospital’s Housekeeping Dept., Marion lived in Newton for 20 years before moving to Charlotte, N.C. In her final years, she lived with family in Fontana, Calif.
Marion’s kindness, dignity, sincerity and strong-spirit were inspirational.
Marion is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan (Eastman) Cox and Henry Cox of Stoughton; son, Ronald Eastman of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren: Tracy Eastman and Tracy‘s husband, Hakim Abdal-Khallaq; Tiffany Eastman; Toby Eastman; Miles Eastman; Jarida (Eastman) Ellis and Jarida’s husband, Raymond Ellis; three great-grandchildren, PuraFe Eastman, Mercedes Ellis and Mariannah Ellis; cousin Marilyn Hicks and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Feb. 20th at Twelfth Baptist Church, 160 Warren St., Roxbury. Burial in Canton, Mass. will be private.
