IQ tests — math and language skills
IQ tests focus on math and reasoning. While these skills are necessary, that is not all there is. Still, there is no reason not to be articulate in English, the primary language of literature and commerce.
There is a keen visual intelligence
Artists, sculptors, designers, architects, engineers, film directors must all have a great awareness of space and spacial relations. Not everyone can do it well.
And also musical intelligence
Who can doubt that Beethoven, Mozart, Thelonius Monk and Charley Parker had the musical genius to hear music that others missed until they gave it life? Music is a universal language.
There is also emotional intelligence
This is an innate ability to understand a situation and know just what to do to resolve a conflict. It is always knowing what to do, and just how to do it.
It’s enough to be talented at one
Go for it all! But give special attention to maturity of judgment, discretion and self discipline. You will be surprised how much intelligence you really have.
