The Boston Ward 15 Democratic Committee has voted to endorse Andrea Campbell in the race for the District 4 Boston City Council seat. The preliminary election is on Tuesday, September 8.

“I am so humbled to receive the endorsement of the Ward 15 Committee,” said Campbell. “This campaign is about mobilizing more residents behind a collective vision for our community. I look forward to partnering with the Committee to engage residents on the issues most important to our district.”

“As a member of the Ward 15 Democratic Committee, I am delighted to say Andrea has won the endorsement of our committee. She is absolutely the right person to represent District Four,” said Davida Andelman, member of the Ward 15 Democratic Committee and long-time resident of the Bowdoin/Geneva neighborhood. “On the campaign trail, I have observed her ability to energize residents in meaningful dialogues about the needs we face on a daily basis. Her personal story is compelling and her enthusiasm is absolutely infectious. She will be an excellent city councilor.”

Campbell has also been endorsed by AFSCME Council 93 Boston Presidents Committee, International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Union Local 6, Boston Plasterers’ & Cement Masons Local 534, Building Wreckers’ Local 1421, Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 17, Teamsters Local 127, EMILY’s List, Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus and the Ward 17 Democratic Committee.
