MassVOTE hosts forum for candidates vying to succeed retiring Rep. Gloria Fox

Tonight at 6 p.m., MassVOTE will host a forum for candidates vying for the 7th Suffolk District House seat currently held by Rep. Gloria Fox, who is retiring after a generation serving the Roxbury community on Beacon Hill.

The forum comes just over a week before voting begins in the Thursday, September 8 state primary election. The three participating candidates are all Democrats, meaning whoever wins the primary will appear on the November 8 ballot unopposed.

WHAT: 7th Suffolk District House candidate forum

WHERE: Twelfth Baptist Church, 160 Warren Street, Roxbury

WHEN: Tuesday, August 30, 6 p.m.

MassVOTE is hosting the forum along with the Black Directors Network; Black Economic Justice Institute, Inc.; Boston 500; Garrison Trotter Neighborhood Assoc.; Madison Park Development Corp.; Mothers for Justice and Equality; NAACP Boston Branch; Project R.I.G.H.T.; Ward 4 Democratic Committee and Ward 12 Democratic Committee.
