Roxbury-based nonprofit The BASE, which provides educational advancement opportunities for urban youth through baseball, honored (from left) Paul Epstein, Roberto Clemente, Jr., and Peter Gammons, pictured with The BASE founder and president, Robert Lewis, Jr. at a fundraiser last week. The BASE has raised $25 million in scholarships over the past 22 months.

Real estate developer Anthony Richardson (right) distributed 125 Thanksgiving turkeys at Franklin Park Saturday. Douglas West (left), who received one of the turkeys, stayed on to help with the distribution.
