Breakthrough Greater Boston, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing under-resourced students to attend four-year colleges and to training the next generation of urban teachers, hosted its annual “Breakthroughs in Education” event on Dec. 5. Now in its sixth year, the lecture series, featuring experts working to improve urban education, raised $100,000 in supporter contributions.
