Boston Scenes 7-4-19: 2nd Annual BAMS Festival wows in 2019

On June 22, 2019, the 2nd Annual Boston Art & Music Soul (BAMS) Festival, founded by Catherine Morris, returned to Playstead Field at Franklin Park in Dorchester, MA — bigger than last year’s!

Holding true to the theme — “representation matters” — the event featured local performers from various Boston neighborhoods and national artists like the Brandee Younger Quintet and headliner, Eric Roberson! In addition to two music stages, the festival included the return of the Rep Your City Live Art & Graffiti zone. It also featured two new activities — free dance lessons at the Beat Feet Dance Zone, curated by Racines Black Dance Festival and a B.Y.O.G. (Bring Your Own Game) zone!

What a blessing to have great weather and amazing attendance from all around the city and beyond! To be a part of the next BAMS Festival or to see what else we’re up to in the near future, please visit www.bamsfest.org or email info@bamsfest.org.
