D’Lontai Christopher Blake (“The Butterfly King “) (44) of Brockton passed away unexpectedly at home on July 13th. He was the loving husband of Peggy Charlotte Louis-Blake. 

He was born in Washington, DC as the son of Zakiya (Twine) Alake of Boston and the late Christopher R. Blake. D’Lontai was a Milieu Counselor at Cambridge Health Alliance for over fifteen years. After turning his life around in the early 90’s, he dedicated his life to the youth in the community and began spending his time at the First Church of Roxbury. D’Lontai was a loving devoted father, husband, and son. He was the founder of Kindred Five, a lover of history and a Licensed Firearm instructor/gun enthusiast. He also was a magnificent chef, a connoisseur of fine liquor and was known as witty, intelligent and the life of every party.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his maternal grandmother Beverly Thomas Monroe of Leominster, his son Quentin Stewart Blake of Brockton, his daughter Ayanna Blake of Brockton, his brother Jamal Blake of Worcester, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Following cremation, a Celebration of his Life will take place at The Northern Spy in Canton, 4 Rolling Mill Way on August 4th, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
