In accordance with the requirements of 24 CFR 91.105(b), the City of Boston announces two (2) public hearings seeking input for the Program Year 2018 (7/1/18-6/30/19) Action Plan and Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan is a document the City submits to U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) outlining the City’s priority housing and community development needs, programs and funding priorities for the next 5 years. The Action Plan is submitted annually to HUD and serves as the City’s application for and planned use of its HUD housing and community development resources; $24 million expected from four programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). Drafts of both plans will be posted on or about 4/11/18.

Hearings (2): March 22 to obtain input on the housing and economic development needs and priorities. April 24 to obtain feedback on the draft Plans. Location for both: Boston Public Library Copley, 700 Boylston St., Boston, Commonwealth Salon, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interpreter services (Spanish-English) are available during the hearings.
