The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through its Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM), requests that qualified and experienced Trade Contractors submit Trade Contractor Statement of Qualifications Forms to the DCAMM Bid Room no later than 12:00 PM, December 27, 2019.
SCOPE: This project involves building renovation (14,000 sq ft), main entrance addition (4,000 sq ft), and demolition of adjacent existing garage. This project includes providing temporary means to all plumbing sections to the MassDOT tower while all existing conditions within the barracks is completely removed, providing a permanent mechanical heating system, demolition of existing mechanical systems, temporary electrical service, partial buildout of a power distribution system and select demolition. This RFQ is for the early enabling trades and DCAMM will be issuing trade packages for additional trades at a later date.
This Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in MGL Chapter 149A. DCAMM, through its Trade Contractor Prequalification Committee, is prequalifying firms interested in providing public Trade Contractor services on this Public Construction Manager at Risk (“CM at Risk”) Project for the construction of the Massachusetts State Police Lower Basin Barracks Modernization and Expansion through this RFQ process.
Trade Contractor Statement of Qualifications Forms from interested Trade Contractors are sought for the following three (3) categories of work: Early Enabling Plumbing ($34,000); Early Enabling HVAC ($81,200); Early Enabling Electrical ($149,000). Only prequalified firms will be permitted to submit bids for the categories of work in which they were prequalified. The Construction Manager is Daniel O’Connell’s Sons.
