MASSACHUSETTS BAY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
SOLICITATION FOR DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR MBTA FOREST HILLS STATION IMPROVEMENTS

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

MBTA Contract No. A35PS01

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Design Phase, Bid Phase and Construction Phase Services for the MBTA Forest Hills Station Improvements Project.

The Scope of Services includes, but is not limited to: Station Assessment, Architectural & MEP, Structural, Vertical Transportation (Elevator Addition/Replacements and Escalator Replacement), Wayfinding, General Repairs, Systems Improvements, Station Cleaning and Painting, Lighting & Accessibility upgrades. The scope of services will be authorized on a task order basis by phase. The conceptual level construction cost estimate for the proposed improvements is $32,000,000. The duration of this contract will be five (5) years, with one option period of one year.

This project is expected to utilize Federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is Thirteen Percent (13%) of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
