MASSACHUSETTS BAY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
SOLICITATION FOR ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR AUBURNDALE, NEWTONVILLE AND WEST NEWTON COMMUTER RAIL STATION IMPROVEMENTS
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
MBTA CONTRACT NO. A72PS02
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting architectural and engineering services for state of good repair, accessibility, and operational improvements for Auburndale, Newtonville, and West Newton Commuter Rail Stations located in Newton, MA.
The Scope of Services includes, but is not limited to: Multi-disciplined Engineering (i.e. Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Signal); Vertical Transportation; Architecture; Historical Assessment; Urban Design; Transportation Planning; Wayfinding; Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS); Security Designs; Landscape Architecture; Code Compliance; Environmental Approvals and Permitting; Public Outreach; Scheduling; Quality Control/Quality Assurance; Construction Phasing and Constructability, and Construction Cost Estimating. Design Phase Services (0%-100% and PSE); Bid Phase Services; and Construction Phase Services will be provided under this contract. The scope of services will be authorized on a task order basis by phase. The conceptual level construction cost estimate for the proposed improvements is $38,500,000. The duration of this contract will be fifty-four (54) months.
This project will utilize State and Federal Funds. The DBE Participation Goal is thirteen percent (13.0%) of the total amount authorized.
