SOLICITATION FOR ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR STATION AND ACCESSIBILITY IMRPOVEMENTS
MBTA CONTRACT NOS. A90PS02, A90PS03, A90PS04, A90PS05

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Architectural and Engineering Services for elevator improvements at multiple station locations. The Scope of Service(s) includes but is not limited to: Project Delivery Strategy Development; Multi-disciplined Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Geotechnical); Architecture; Urban Design; Landscape Architecture; Code Analysis; Permitting; Constructability Review, Public Outreach; Scheduling and Cost Estimating; Risk Analysis and Testing and Commissioning. Project Phases include Phases II-IV Design (15%-PSE), Phase V Bid Phase and Phase VI Construction Phase Services and Project Close Out. The scope of services will be authorized on a Task Order basis. There will be up to four (4) contracts awarded. The total contract ceiling, inclusive of all contracts authorized as a result of this solicitation, is $26,000,000. The duration of these contracts will be six (6) years with two (2) option periods of one (1) year each.

This project is expected to utilize Federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for all contracts authorized as a result of this solicitation is 13% of the total amount authorized for federally funded projects. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
