Solicitation for Engineering, Architectural, and Design Consulting Services for the Green Line Riverside and GLX Vehicle Maintenance Facilities Upgrades and Vehicle Testing Facility.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Engineering, Architectural, and Design Consulting Services for Green Line Riverside and GLX Vehicle Maintenance Facilities Upgrades and Vehicle Testing Facility.

The project goal is for the Green Line Facilities Project, to upgrade car house facilities at the Green Line Extension (GLX) Vehicle Maintenance Facility and the Riverside Vehicle Maintenance Facility, and to build and operate a new Vehicle Testing Facility at GLX. These upgrades and additions are necessary to inspect and operate the existing facilities repair and maintain the proposed Type 10 vehicles.

The scope of services will be authorized on professional services contract basis. The duration of this contract will be two years from the date of Notice to Proceed, with two (2) option period of one (1) year each.

This project is expected to utilize state funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is 20% of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants, and suppliers in all its contracting opportunities.
