SOLICITATION FOR GENERAL ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES FOR
THE DEPARTMENT OF OPERATIONS PLANNING, SCHEDULING & STRATEGY

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

MBTA CONTRACT NUMBERS OSDPS17 THROUGH OSDPS20

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting General Engineering Consulting Services for the Department of Operations Planning, Scheduling & Strategy that may include the following services, but are not limited to: General Planning Services; Data Collection; Project Management Assistance; Procurement Assistance; System Analysis – Maintenance and Development; Multi-Modal Access to Transit, Including Bicycle: Bus Facility and Corridor Improvements; RIDE/Paratransit Projects; and New Technology Projects.

The MBTA will award up to four (4) or more contracts totaling $30,000,000, with a potential for varying values. Since this is a task order contract, independent cost estimates will be prepared for appropriate tasks, on an as-needed basis. The duration of this contract is three (3) years from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with two (2) option periods of one (1) year each.

This project is expected to utilize federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is twenty-two percent (22%) of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants, and suppliers in all its contracting opportunities.
