Replacement of piping at the Harborview Apartments

The Falmouth Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the work associated with the replacement of piping at the Harborview Apartments at 115 Scranton Avenue in Falmouth Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Winslow Architects Inc.

The Project consists of: Replacement of domestic water piping throughout first, second third and fourth floors of an existing four-story multi-family building; fixture pipe connections in existing units and throughout building; all associated cutting, patching and painting of walls and ceilings required to access the piping and repair damaged finishes; install of suspended ceiling system, vinyl plank flooring and resilient base at first floor corridors. All work in units will be phased into individual work “stacks”.

The work is estimated to cost Nine hundred fifty three thousand ($953,000.00) dollars.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

This project is being Electronically Bid. All bids should be submitted electronically online at www.Projectdog.com and received no later than the dates and time specified below. Hard copy bids will not be accepted by the Awarding Authority. Obtain all documents online via the job specific project number # 840198 at www.Projectdog.com. Filed Sub-bids for the trades listed below will be received until 2:00 PM, October 1, 2020.

Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder’s Update Statement.

General Bids will be received until 2:00PM, October 15, 2020. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work: General Contractor.

General bids and sub bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Falmouth Housing Authority. There is a plan deposit of $35 per set (maximum of 2 sets) payable to Projectdog, Inc.

Refundable deposits must be a certified or cashier’s check. This deposit will be refunded upon return of all documentation in good condition within ten (10) days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of Projectdog.

Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $35 for next day delivery, payable to the Projectdog, Inc., to cover mail handling costs.

General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation goal reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than ten point four (10.4%) percent of the final contract price including accepted alternates. See Contract Documents – Article 3 of the Instructions to Bidders.

There will be a pre-bid conference at the site at 10:30AM on Monday, September 21. There will be no site visits by appointment other than the pre-bid conference.
