Affordable Housing

Affordable Assisted Living Suites at Sunrise of Newton

Sunrise of Newton is a new 85-suite assisted living community that offers three affordable suites for income-eligible seniors, which include rent and all utilities, meals and snacks, housekeeping and laundry, transportation, and personal care services (20 minutes per day).

ELIGIBILITY FOR AFFORDABLE SUITES
The maximum income for the affordable suites is 80% Area Median Income (AMI). The household income limit is $70,750 for one person and $80,850 for two people. The minimum age requirement is 62.

HOUSING LOTTERY
A lottery for three affordable suites will be conducted by Newton Housing Authority and held on September 17. Applications are available by mail or online from the Newton Housing Authority. Call 617-552-5501 or visit

Applications are due on September 8 and can be returned in person or by mail to: Newton Housing Authority, 82 Lincoln Street, Newton Highlands, MA 02461. If you need a reasonable accommodation, contact Newton Housing Authority at 617-552-5501.
