In the midst of the MA250 celebrations exploring the history of the American Revolution and the establishment of the United States, Boston’s Museum of African American History (MAAH) has launched an exhibition exploring Black experiences during the revolutionary period.

Visitors gathered at the Museum of African American History (MAAH) in Boston last Monday to see the unveiling of their newest exhibit titled “Black Voices of the Revolution.”

Back in March, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the government agency responsible for funding museums and libraries across the nation was gutted along with several other agencies by an executive order. The agency’s entire staff was put on administrative leave shortly after.
